Overcoming Writers Block

Back when I was a freelance writer, I got paid as much as $10,000 to write one sales letter.

Anyway, imagine this:

You're trying to crank out a sales letter for a client. You're on a deadline.

You're staring at your computer screen or at your yellow legal pad.

And guess what?

You see NOTHING. It's blank. Your brain is blank.

That's called writer's block.

Have you ever been bitten by a bad case of writer's block? You sit down to write an email, letter, sales promotion, sales letter, pay-per-click ad, pop-up, or affiliate promotion and you can't think of anything to say. .

Or everything you can think of to say seems wrong?

You know the solution? It's so simple it's almost embarrassing.

To understand the solution, you have to understand the cause. What causes writer's block is the critical mind: You're criticizing your words AS YOU WRITE.

That's the cause. See, your mind can't be creative and critical at the same time. Most people don't know that.

The solution to writer's block is simple:

Just write.

You'll find that the words flow again. Then, what you do is go back AFTER you write and edit. But never, ever, write and edit at the same time.

Now you know the secret to overcoming writer's block.
